The African Insurance Organisation, AIO, has a new President. Mrs. Delphine Traoré, Regional Chief Operating Officer Allianz Africa was appointed President of the Pan African Organisation at the end of its 46th Conference and General Assembly which held in Johannesburg, South Africa from the 8th ? 13th June, 2019.
She takes over from Ms. Aretha Duku, Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Union Assurance who has stirred the affairs of the AIO for the past one year.
In her acceptance speech during the closing gala of the 46th AIO Conference and General Assembly, Delphine Traoré described her new task as daunting but called on the support of all AIO stakeholders to succeed in her mission.
She promised to serve the organization and the entire African insurance industry without fear or favour in an oath taking ceremony presided over by one of the patriarchs of African insurance, Mr. Shiamdass Apannah, Chairman of Reinsurance Solutions, Mauritius.
