Shafique Bhunnoo

Shafique Bhunnoo is Senior Actuary at QED Actuaries & Consultants in Mauritius, and President of the Actuarial Society of Mauritius.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries with over 35 years of experience in the insurance Industry. He was educated in the UK, Mauritius and Zimbabwe and has worked in UK, Middle East and in Africa.
Shafique’s expertise spans Life, Health and General Insurance, Pensions and also Takaful products. He has worked with and advised insurance companies, reinsurers, banks and regulators.
He has a strong ethical stance on consumer protection and is a vocal advocate for fair products.
Training and presenting are key skills, and Shafique has spoken at many industry conferences including those by the African Insurance Organisation, Institute of Actuaries and various other industry and company seminars.
