Bachir Baddou, General Manager of the Moroccan Federation of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies (FMSAR), Past President and current Executive Committee member of the African Insurance Organisation has been elected to the Executive Committee of the Global Federation of Insurance Associations (GFIA).
B. Baddou will serve as Treasurer. Since November 2016, B. Baddou has been the only African and Arab representative to join the GFIA Executive Committee. The new Executive Committee comprises six federations, namely those of the United States, Canada, Japan, Insurance Europe, New Zealand and Morocco.
Created in October 2012, the GFIA currently includes insurance associations and federations from 61 member countries representing 90% of global premiums.
